For clients with acute suicidal tendencies or who are experiencing acute psychotic episodes:
In these cases counseling or receiving therapy in a day clinic will not be adequate. Instead, checking into a psychiatric hospital would be appropriate. Here they will provide immediate help as well as a stabilizing environment.

Berlin has a crisis service, called the Berliner Krisendienst, with facilities in every ‘statt’.
